The debut album from this group is somehow apparently a “debut.” By this, I mean, there lacks consistency throughout the tracks. These tracks test many different waters, but don’t quite create a coherent album. The sound they do come up with is refreshing, the vocals are a little weak, but they songwriting is pretty solid. They have an interesting style and I am very curious to see what comes from them in albums to come. This group’s first live performance together was in 2006, barely a year before this album came out. Though lacking maturity, this talented group deserves some play time. Try the opening vocal track 2 “Wake Up,” track 4 “Under the Sun,” track 9 “Snowman Suntan,” and track 11 “After Her.” -Jake Burritt
