This is a D.C. based band that has been voted as a local favorite a couple times by Washington Post readers. This album has gotten pretty good reviews, and certainly there is nothing here to offend attentive ears, but at the same time there may not be enough here to excite listeners who want a little more …. something. But still, it’s good. What you get pretty much throughout is the following (the only real exception being track 4, which is a nicely done love ballad): A vocalist that sounds a bit like the Bare Naked Ladies. Layers of piano, bass, acoustic guitar and a strong drum beat. Lyrics that are positive and well written without being sugary. Some songs that have a pop-rock sound from the get-go with good hooks. Some songs that start with different beats and grooves and then go into a pop-rock chorus. - Pete LewandoskiTINA DICO
