CECILE CORBEL

Songbook 1

2007-09-10

This is a good crossover album for fans of Celtic music, and those who like Tori, Sarah McLachlan, Loreena McKennit, Enya, Sinead, and Kate Bush. Corbel was born in Britany, France, and spent her early years all over Europe with her parents, a couple of traveling puppeteers. She picked up the guitar as a teen, then discovered the Celtic harp. It all makes sense, trust me. The most colorful description I read is “a redhead fairy, just out of a Broceliande tale.” -Pete
