THE KAMIKAZE HEARTS

Oneida Road

2006-10-13

The label says something funny: “As Neil Young’s fans get younger and Sufjan Stevans’ fans get older, distinctions like “folk vs. indie” no longer exist…hmmm, really? Singers Troy Pohl and Gaven Richard pull this one off tremendously, and the band is dazzling with their quirky—inventive, yet melodic musicianship. Its tough to really identify if these guys lean more toward neo-traditional or indie-folk, but hey I already printed the label. -Pete
