After having reviewed a previous album of hers, i was hoping to see some progression or changes to their music. I certainly received that in this album. She added a man's voice to mix, who sounds like Les Claypool on a few tracks. I would closely relate Lakshmi's voice to Etta James. To me their music is moving more towards the rock side of things, but still has the uniqueness to it, with some different kind of beats geared towards rock. Most of the tracks alternate between Her vocals and the guys vocals, with the sound changing as well. Her tracks are closer to a blues sytle with the guys tracks being more towards Rock. It was pretty good overall, their getting better in my mind, but need to lose the Dude's vocals.
