THE BURNING OF ROME

(Selections from the forthcoming album) With Us

2012-04-30

San Diego band, The Burning of Rome, gives us a teaser for third album, With Us, which is set to be released fall 2012. The label calls them a blend of Pink Floyd, Misfits and Danny Elfman. I’d say the bar is raised awfully high, but this is damn good rock in any case. Combining church bells, glockenspiel, and choir-like vocals, the first several tracks certainly have a spacey, theatrical sound. Add to this the dark lyrics and catchy hooks and you could almost call it goth-carnival-disco. Rebecca Ruth
