Seamonster is the latest collection of 12 tracks by Jason Spooner. The band taps into their inner Nashville with seriously twangy guitars and harmonica at several points in the album, but switches gears into Peter Gabrial territory with ease. Using their firm grasp of spatial relations within the music, the band executes a respectable version of Wishing Well by Terence Trent D’arby before rounding the album out with a little coffeehouse blues sprinkled in for good measure.
