Young Dubliners

Real World

2005-02-18

If you've got Irish roots and you wanna play rock n' roll, there's certain things you better bring to the stage-like, for example, a frenzy of energy, relentless primal drumming, fiddles and flutes, and, of course, the deepest passion imaginable. These qualities have been displayed in such groups as Black 47 and The Poguesas well as The Young Dubliners, whose new album, Real World, was released on February 15.

The Dubs formed in Los Angeles in the early 90's, have released four previous albums, and have toured extensively in Europe and the States. If you had a chance to attend the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, you would have seen the band take part in the ceremonies there.

The Young Dubliners are making a name for themselves in the world of Celtic Rock. If you listen closely, you'll hear them on WYCE.
