A soft and haunting debut album, Mi and L’au was recorded in a remote cabin in Finland, and the music certainly matches the setting. With soft vocals accompanied by acoustic pluckings and sparse orchestrations, this Finnish/French duo create a mix of mournful yet gentle music. Tracks of interest include #3 “Philosopher” and #6 “Older”. – Ryan Terpstra
