INGRID MICHAELSON BE OK After my first listen to this Disc, I thought nice but it is only Ok, being intrigued by Ingrid’s voice I gave it a few more spins and my opinion went from OK to damn this is one great disc. Instrumentation is well done, but the strength of this CD is truly the hypnotizing qualities of Ingrid’s voice. If there is a category for best coffee house disc for 2008 this is a sure pick. Standout tracks on this disc include the title track “Be Ok, the stunning interpation of “Over the Rainbow” & the live recording of “The Way I Am”. The only thing that makes this disc better is a portion of the proceeds from this disc will go to Stand up To Cancer, an organization created to urgently move cancer research forward with the help of the public.
