2004-09-22

The Jazz Jamaica All-Stars are a 10-piece reggae/ska/jazz ensemble led by bassist Gary Crosby. Since their inception in London in 1991, The All-Stars have played as a big band and small-band, taking on as many as 20 members at a time, with musicians ranging in age from 24 to 72.

The Jazz Jamaica All-Stars’ latest release Massive has already made the rounds in the UK, snagging Album of the Year Award honors from The Times and The Guardian and prompting the BBC Radio Jazz Awards to name them the Best Band of 2002.
