As a former fashion model, former g-friend of Ryan Adams, a soon-to-be hit record on her hands, one must at least ask, what does Leona Naess have to be unhappy about? This album consists mostly of sad and nearly angst-ridden songs about love and relationships with boys, but in interviews she’s said that the songs aren’t about real people, especially not Ryan; they’re more about venting and almost just fitting her lyrics into the nice melodies. They are nice, we’ll give her that, they’re fun to listen to, they vary in tempo and range nicely from poppy tunes to heartfelt ballads. Still, ya kinda have to feel a little patronized by this record, like she’s writing songs for all “those” people in the world with love problems. By Pete DroverREBEKAH RHYS
