This Jack Johnson-backed project out of San Fransisco debut their funky-pop sound on their first release Fly Between Walls. ALO lends a quiet, quirky, and fun sound to their tunes, provided by surfer guitar-pluckings and sweet melodies. Fans of other Brushfire Records projects should readily accept this dynamic band which has become the darlings of the West Coast underground scene. Tracks of interest include their first single #3 “Girl, I Wanna Lay You Down”, #1 “Spectrum”, and #5 “Walls Of Jericho”. – Ryan Terpstra
