This is the debut album from Sólrún, María, Edda and Hildur, four Icelandic women in their mid twenties. Soothing, trance-like sounds from Icelandic group Amiina, is a stellar debut. Compared with Sigur Ros, it’s no wonder why Amiina are receiving rave reviews. Not many vocals are present, with the exception of a few on various tracks, but it’s the music that really creates such a pristine and beautiful album.
