If you're familiar with Ben Harper and the Relentless Seven's "White Lies for Dark Times", then you're familiar with this release of pretty much that whole album, recorded live in Montreal in July 2009. If you are not familiar, well, this is basically singer/songwriter Ben Harper rocking out with his harder-edged band of his last two releases, the Relentless 7. Most of these songs are blues-tinged rock, including a cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Red House" and the Bowie/Mercury collaboration, "Under Pressure". There's nothing special here, just a rockin' good time. Rebecca RuthCAROLINE SMITH
