Edwin McCain

Lost In America

2006-04-05

Review: Lost in America is McCain’s seventh album, and is more electric guitar-driven than his previous releases. However, McCain still holds on to what has made his career such a success with catchy pop hooks, his soulful voice, and poignant lyrics. The album has a energetic, live-performance feel to it that is captured well by the first single, track #1 “Gramercy Park Hotel”. Other songs of note are #7 “Black and Blue”, and #3 “Welcome to Struggleville”, which captures the life of a musician on the road.
