Andrew Bird

Armchair Apocrypha

2007-03-06

The new release by Andrew Bird is not so filled with unbridled joy as The Mysterious Production of Eggs. It has a more subdued, mature sound, which is fleshed out by his recent touring partner, Martin Dosh. Mr. Bird is great at syncopated lyrics. His smoothly cascading melodies might make you think of Jeff Buckley. #3 is my favorite. (Olive)
