The Unlikely Candidates has only been a band for a few years. Immediately following the band's first performance at SXSW last March, the quintet was invited to meet with the bosses at Atlantic Records and within a week was signed to the major label. Why did Atlantic jump to sign the band? It is obvious to me that the company is going with a tried-and-true formula. The Unlikely Candidates makes catchy pop-rock that sounds like many other successful pop-rock bands. (Think Panic at the Disco, Plain White T's, etc.) The Follow My Feet EP is just a taste of what's to come on a soon to be released long-player from this Texas band. Rebecca Ruth
