JUNGLEFOWL

Strut

2016-11-12

JUNGLEFOWL’s album ‘Strut,’ is an electrifying blend of mind bending psychedelic-blues, fierce drum bashing garage rock, funky grooves flowing into a great wall of fuzzed out guitar tones. The album is intertwined with shifting clever catchy hooks and swaggered out mud in your face feeling chorus. Lyrics are emotionally charging with the listener in pools of questioning to waves of self-realization drifting aimless through an open mind. The duo of Melissa Coppola on vocals/drums and Stefan Carr on guitar/base sound like Björt. St. Vincent, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beck, and Ratatat. My favorite tracks from the album for their melodies and riffs are Undercover Wildflower, Plan of Attack, and Whipper Snapper.
