Eilen Jewell

Boundary County

2006-08-21

A pretty easy listening album where all the songs seem to run together. Not that Jewell doesn’t have a great voice, because she does and it’s really, really good. Even though Eilen Jewell has an amazing folk voice, Boundary County is a pretty lifeless album, however, the opening title track, “Boundary County” is definitely worth a couple listens. As are track 2, “Till You Lay Down Your Heavy Load”, and track 6 “Back To Dallas”, and track 13, “You Can’t Take My Song Away”. -Lane Zoerhof
