Nashville-based group The Wild Feathers have much to celebrate - their debut record is backed by a major label, and they even had the privilege to open for Paul Simon. But their debut album itself is something to celebrate, a mixture of rock, country, folk, and a twinge of the blues. Even all these combining influences, the album itself still retains a focus instead of meandering inertia. songs like "Hard Wind" propel the album forward with plodding drums and bass, while more contemplative songs like "If You Don't Love Me" show off their folk roots and gives the album room to breathe. It's this variation with their influences that makes the album an entertaining listen. Recommended. ~ Jacqueline RistolaWORLD FAMOUS HEADLINERS
