Charanga Cakewalk is the brainchild of Michael Ramos, a multi-instrumentalist/producer who has served as a member of The BoDeans, The Rembrandts and, most recently, as a member of Patty Griffin’s band.

His arrangement of the traditional Spanish song ‘Mil Besos’ as the title track of Griffin’s recent release 1000 Kisses, inspired Ramos to write and create an album of his own material.

The disc brings together traditional Latin rhythms with contemporary urban grooves.
