Thievery Corporation with a dash of hot sauce describes this spicy new venture by the DJ formerly known as Bitman & Roban. Infusing electronica with latin grooves, this freshman effort by Chile's chill-maestro offers a look beyond the first radio single "Shine." Taking a multi-lingual approach to hooks, the songs as a unit stands alone. While crossing genre's is admirable and easy to appreciate, most of this album relies too heavily on a loop that makes one song indistinguishable from the next. A good backdrop, but no stand-outs on this lounge act. - Daniel J. Graeber
