Aimee Mann

The Forgotten Arm

2005-06-01

Aimee Mann’s songs undoubtedly have a cinematic quality. Director and screenwriter Paul Thomas Anderson has claimed that his 1999 film Magnolia was based on her song cycle.

Aimee’s new disc follows this concept-album pattern, telling the story of a road trip taken by a washed-up, drug-addicted boxer and his new co-dependent girl-friend.

The Forgotten Arm is produced by Joe Henry and appears on Aimee independent SuperEgo Records.
