  Grand Rapids' own Sun Circles makes melodic rock on this debut. The band, formerly known as Lake Timber, combines husky vocals (sometimes with effects) with guitars, drums, and occasional vocal harmonies to make a sonically pleasing album.    Rebecca Ruth
