Multi-instrumentalist Theresa Andersson returns with another fascinating collection of songs and sounds, four years after she made a name for herself with the 2008 release "Hummingbird, Go!" (which she recorded in her kitchen). Andersson, originally from Sweden and now living in New Orleans, uses sound loop pedals to keep numerous vocals sounds and instruments swirling around her vocals; there can be three of four of each (vocal and instrumental loops) going on at the same time. On "Street Parade," that can have the effect of a '60 girl-vocal group ("Hold On to Me," "January") or a street parade of percussion and brass ("Street Parade," "Injuns," "What Comes Next"--that song with Peter Moren of Peter, Bjorn and John). She's supposed to be very interesting to watch in concert as she bare-foots all of these sound pedals and goes from instrument to instrument per song (e.g. "Fiya's Gone").
