One should expect any album based on Dutch theorist Rem Koolhaas' book,Delerious New York,  to be somewhat conceptual. That  book and her move to New York from California were the inspiration for Glasser's second release, Interiors.  There are many references to the architecture of the cityscape and these digital beats compliment them. Indeed, some of the lyrics seem a bit abstract. The vocals, however, lend a humanness to the music. Glasser's voice is big and beautiful without being overwrought.  Add to that acoustic instruments such as the sax on my favorite track, "New Year" and violin and viola on "Design" and "Landscape" and what you end up with is atmospheric electronica with the human element thrown in.
