Kasey Chambers

Wayward Angel

2004-10-17

The Australian country/folk singer songwriter
is now batting 3-for-3.

Wayward Angel certainly confirms the talent we heard on her first two releases. Kasey gets deep into your heart and soul with lyrics that drench you with longing and yearning and heartache.

I'm not sure there could ever be a Kasey Chambers tribute album. Could her songs ever be as expressive if it wasn't for her inimitable voice? It aches, it breaks. It squeaks and quivers and wavers in all the right places. It's innocent and child-like, yet mature and soulful. Yes, it's one of a kind, and it's in fine form on Wayward Angel.
