Stone Clover

Proper Villains

2015-07-31

High-energy Detroit Irish rock n’ roll band Stone Clover breaks into their first fully original studio effort with ferocity and a great sense of humor. This record sounds like Gogol Bordello combined with irish whiskey - the whole thing screams “Irish On Ionia”. This five-piece mixes bounding beats with furious fiddling and chases it with traditional melodies and humorous lyrics. Competing with the likes of Flogging Molly and The Dubliners, this record is fun to listen to, and presumably even more fun to drink to. Bottoms up to Stone Clover!
