CHRIS ROBINSON BROTHERHOOD

Phosphorescent Harvest

2014-05-19

I had no idea what I had chosen to review when I grabbed this disc. The font was oh-so-psychedelic that I couldn't make it out.  Listening to this, I thought it was a Grateful Dead cover band. But no, this is Chris Robinson Brotherhood's (CRB) latest release, Phosphorescent Harvest.  Further distancing himself from his Black Crowes pop/blues/rock past, Robinson delves deep into the realm of jam bands. Third release,Phosphorescent Harvest, is classic rock with country-tinged aural swirls, made to accompany one's exploration of the latest CRB cover art. Rebecca Ruth
