Singer/songwriter Lisa Loeb has a new record out. With a strong turn toward pop in her latest album No Fairy Tale, Loeb certainly has a lot of fun. Two songs written Tegan and Sara fit the album set nicely, as Loeb sings about all sorts of relationships. Harmless lyrics like "you discuss your favorite movies/ he's never seen the Newsies, but you both love anything Stephen King" from 'Married' adds an innocent charm to the mix, but the can often feel sterile as the standard 4 chord pop songs structure overlays the album. It's music well-suited for tweens, simple and catchy, a nice way to enter the music world. For those who are older, they may want something else. ~ Jacqueline RistolaBLACK JOE LEWIS
