Cary Brothers ... he's the promising newcomer with a hit song on the Grammy-winning Garden State soundtrack. The song is "Blue Eyes," and it's the final track on his first album, entitled Who You Are. Brothers also contributed to The Last Kiss soundtrack with "Live” — a hopeful, upbeat love song with take-a-chance lyrics, like "Would you take my hand tonight? If I told you reasons why, would you leave your life and ride." Track 3, "Who You Are," and track 4, "Glass Parade," tackle troubled relationships, and they evoke emotions as serenely as his more recognizable songs. Brothers has a down-home appeal that sings to fans of both acoustic folk and British pop. -Sara CosgroveANDY FAIRWEATHER LOW
