Hem

Funnel Cloud

Folk music doesn’t get much better then this. Hem’s third album has beautifully crafted music that words can’t do justice. Lead singer Sally Ellyson’s voice is beautiful, as it ranges with a Linda Ronstandt-like beauty, she really belts out the folk/country with emotion to boot. Standout tracks include track 2 “He Came To Meet Me”, track 3 “Not California”, track 5 “Too Late To Turn Back Now”, track 9 “Curtains” and track 13 “I’ll Dream Of You Tonight”. An awesome record where all of the songs are so good and so well rounded. How is Hem not on mainstream light rock and country radio stations? Lane Zoerhof
