Umphrey's McGee

Anchor Drops

2004-07-13

Chicago-based jam-band Umphrey’s McGee make their national splash with “Anchor Drops”, their new disc available from Sci-Fidelity Records.

No secret among Midwestern jam-fans, Umphrey’s Mcgee has broadened their audience through recent appearances at Bonnaroo, South by Southwest and the High Sierra Music Festival.

The six-man band brings a progressive-rock precision to a genre stereotypically dominated by extended Grateful Dead-style jams.
