No Lee Harvey Osmond is not a new solo artist, but a super group formed between Tom Wilson from Blackie and the Rodeo Kings as well as members from the Cowboy Junkies. Their music is described as Acid folk and after it spinned for the fifth time in my CD player I have to admit it put its spell on me. My favorite track “Cuckoo’s Nest” with the bass lines from John Finlayson had an almost Morphine feel to it. Other tracks like “Blade of Grass” sounded a bit like Chris Isaak. Margo Timmins from the Junkies does a beautiful duet with Tom Wilson on “I’m Going to Stay That Way”. Other notables are some terrific Dobro playing through out the disc from the great Colin Linden. I have a strong feeling that this quiet evil may become extremely infectious. Reviewed By: Gregg SaurBow Thayer
