Even though the lyrics of Bliss are sung in English, their European roots are evident in their new-age classical-meets-techno approach to music. The first track title “Sleep Will Come” I thought would set the mood for the entire album because of a lengthy instrumental of violin and accordion introduce the album. If it weren’t for the African hollering and hip-hop electronic drum beats which seem to pop up, I would have been able to fall asleep to this album with ease, which is apparently what they want. These songs all contain a certain drone which I think is meant to sedate its listeners. The vocals have that jazzy-style female crooning, typical of easy listening music. This album would be suitable for a nighttime drive.k.d. lang
