Tori Amos is back with a new album, a new tour and a new instrument. The buzz is all about her new disc The Beekeeper, out now on Epic Records. It’s Tori’s 8th studio release in just over 13 years, making her one of WYCE’s most consistent and recognizable female artists.
To that end, the new disc continues Tori’s struggle to maintain a strong womanly persona, examining spirituality and world religions from the largely-silenced female perspective.
She also adds the male-dominated Hammond B-3 organ to her repertoire on the new disc, saying it makes her feel like a twin cousin of Jimmy Smith.
The Beekeeper tour starts April 1st and reaches Chicago on April 15th.
