We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank

2007-04-02

For Modest Mouses' fifth studio album its a goodie. With added guitarist Johnny Marr of The Smiths, and a return of Jeremiah Green the bands original drummer, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank is a great new twist on old style. You get a little more layed back, toned down version that's very welcome in my book. Besides, James Mercer of The Shins sings back up on a few of the tracks too, and you can't go wrong with so many talented people contributing to this one. A definite addition to my music library. - MK
