Formerly known as The Original Brothers and Sisters of Love, the Ann Arbor-based Great Lakes Myth Society chose to change their name to honor the rich musical lore of the Great Lakes region.

Each track on the new album digs into Michigan’s folk history - from its legendary lake-effect snow to Marquette’s film-making heritage to an elaborate tall-tale of a bar fight between two giants resulting in the creation of the Great Lakes themselves.

The debut release from Great Lakes Myth Society is now available on Stop, Pop and Roll Records.
