You may have heard of Zoe Boekbinder. She previously was one half of the duo, Vermillion Lies. For her second solo release, Ms. Boekbinder combines elements of folk, pop, and electronics, with such instruments as cello, singing saw, theramin, and trombone. She then adds her lovely voice (sometimes looped) singing interesting, sometimes macabre lyrics. It all adds up to quirky acoustic-electro-folk-pop. Oxymoron? Yes, but it works!
