REGINA SPEKTOR

Begin to Hope

2006-06-23

"Begin to Hope" is Regina Spektor's fourth album and first major record release. Starting out by singing in front of small audiences in New York, Regina made a name for herself with her hypnotic voice and beautifully crafted lyrics. On this record, she experiments with instruments and sound arrangements, and calls the result "a little Frankenstein." Her creation is a sort of adult contemporary folk/rock with a touch of blues. Recommended tracks: #'s 1, 2, 4 No play: 6, 9 After 10: 12, sexual content – Ben Kleyn
