The songs on Doug MacLeod’s “The Utrecht Sessions” embody the delta blues. Whether playing on his National Delphi or on 12-string guitar, his sound is genuine. Not all tracks are great – “Sheep of a Different Color” is a bit too long and preachy, and several are a little too subdued to maintain my interest – but others are worth a listen. I liked tracks 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 11. Tim SmithHOPE SANDOVAL & THE WARM INVENTIONS
