From Grand Rapids’ own Nathan Kalish and the Wildfire comes their latest, full length album, “Waterbirds,” available 2009 from Caveman records. While this release may do little to expand the horizons of the world of rock music, it certainly stays true to the tested and time honored traditions of the genre. Wildfire sound like they could be The Rolling Stones’ nephews. A fine presentation by fine musicians, “Waterbirds” is a solid release from a band that bills itself as “The Last Rock Band in Grand Rapids.” – Mike ShadeERNIE AND THE AUTOMATICS
