Have you ever wanted to call everywhere home, cavort with wanderers, have techno parties til dawn, and pass out daily with a cuica* in your lap? This may be your band. “Think of One” is a gang of wandering Gypsies that emerged from a squatter’s camp in Belgium many years ago and continues to roam, having lived in an RV for over 9 years. The members: Guitarist, singer and driver David Bovee helps move the RV every three days. Ganga “the Bulldozer” Barreto, is nicknamed for how hard she hits the drum. Dona Cilia, now 67, the mother figure of the band, specializes in traditional coco singing. Percussion wizard Carranca built his drum kit from old barrels. The band is rooted in the traditional music backgrounds of coco, ciranda, and forro, and incorporate modern sounds. Enjoy! -Pete *drumBalthazar
