This album’s title is a perfect representation of its content. JD Souther, who is known for his long career of songwriting and co-writing, blesses the tracks of this record with his soft, gentle voice and the soulful accompaniment of many delicate performers. A wide array of instruments, including several full orchestrations, turn this record into a true production from one of “America’s treasures”. Souther is possibly best known for his co-writing of some of the Eagles’ greatest hits, including “Best Of My Love” and “New Kid In Town”, as well as the success of his original music in the 70s and 80s, but this old guy has still got it. A sensitive and pretty release from a piece of American music history.
