THE DUHKS

Migration

2006-09-11

Whether covering their own songs or Covers such as Tracy Chapman’s “Mountains O’ Things” or New Orleans Zydeco master Keith Frank’s “Down to the River” this band put its own eclectic take on each of the 13 tracks on this release. Migrations is the perfect name for the CD as it takes you on a musical Journey that incorporates the sounds of Folk, Pop, Celtic, Country, Zydeco & Gospel making this a truly entertaining musical journey. It would easy to call the Duhks Canada’s version of Donna the Buffalo transcending musical genres, mixing both male & female vocals, Incredible fiddle players & excellent musicianship from beginning to end. Migrations is the third release from the Duhks & proves that the third time is a real charm. – Gregg Saur
