This is a new artist to WYCEs library, but she is a welcome addition. She got her surprising start only a few years ago by winning a song competition in her native Australia and has been on the charts there quite a bit since. This is her second release in the US. It has a well thought-out layered sound that was produced by Mitchell Froom who has production credits that include the likes of Richard Thompson, Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, and Suzanne Vega (his ex-wife). Higgins plays piano and guitar and wrote all the songs. This gives her a chance to show that she can write lyrics that have depth and can produce a variety of songs that range from gritty to pop. - Pete LewandoskiThe Martino Conspiracy
