pronounced like view From Mali-Vieux Farka Toure is the son of the late Ali Farka Toure, Ali kept Vieux from going into the music business, insisting that he join the military, So he secretly practiced until he was old enough to enroll in the National Arts Institute.Now he emerges on the music scene as a guitar virtuoso, continuing in the “African Blues” tradition after his father. Toumani Diabate plays kora on this and Issa Bambaa appears on vocals. – Teresa
