This is the fifth album from lo-fi garage rockers, Black Lips. The jangly guitars, barely discernible vocals and simple arrangements mixed with howls and screams add up to energetic awesomeness! It's reminiscent of the MC5 or Velvet Underground. The album starts strong with "Take My Heart", and upbeat rocker. "Short Fuse", the lead single, is one of the better songs on this album that is entirely made up of great songs. I also have to mention "Again and Again" as it was written by James Osterberg during his Iguanas days. (You may know him by his more famous name, Iggy Pop.) I loved this album and will most certainly be adding it to my personal collection. Reviewed by Rebecca Ruth.Air Traffic Controller
