Hard Times, Bad Decisions

2016-12-16

Its fairly rare to see a woman playing bass these days. This lady can not only play bass extremely well, but she knows how to sing, and her musicianship is pretty darn good as well, with several Awards to her credit like 2016 Blues Music Award for Instrumentalist, Bass. This album has a good feel to it. A lot of the songs are very reminiscent of some ballads from the 50's and 60's and just has a soulful feel to it. I love the sound of blues with a bass player who just stands out. It really gives you some good beats, and gets you grooving!!! I enjoyed tracks 1, 2, 5, and 12, with 12 being the best on the record in my opinion.
